I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT118958) based in Oakland, serving adults who appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or burnt out on the inside. Many of my clients come to therapy navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. They are often the people others rely on—competent, dependable, hardworking—yet underneath, they carry a heavy weight of self-criticism, worry, or exhaustion.
My approach is both practical and depth-oriented. I integrate evidence-based tools (including CBT, mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions) with relational, psychodynamic, and attachment-focused exploration. This allows clients to gain immediate relief from symptoms while also addressing the deeper patterns that keep them feeling stuck. In our work together, clients often learn to ease self-criticism, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with parts of themselves they may have neglected in the service of others.
I value authenticity, warmth, and humor in the therapy process. I strive to create a grounded environment where clients feel respected and safe enough to explore honestly. Colleagues have described my style as attentive and engaged, while clients frequently note that I “meet them where they are” and help them feel both understood and gently challenged to grow.
My background includes extensive experience in community mental health, where I worked with diverse populations managing complex stressors, trauma histories, and systemic barriers. This foundation informs my ability to hold nuance, attend to cultural context, and adapt flexibly to each client’s needs. I now balance private practice with part-time nonprofit work, giving me a wide lens on both structured systems of care and the more spacious, individualized work possible in private therapy.
I welcome referrals for adults experiencing:
Anxiety, chronic worry, or hypervigilance
Burnout, overwhelm, and stress related to caregiving or work
Relationship or family challenges, including communication and boundaries
Life transitions such as career shifts, divorce, parenthood, or loss
Persistent self-criticism, perfectionism, or a sense of “going through the motions”
I am currently accepting private-pay referrals for telehealth sessions. While I also see some clients through Rula (insurance-based referrals), my primary focus is building a depth-oriented, private-pay practice for adults who are seeking more than short-term fixes.
If you are a colleague looking for a therapist to refer a client, please feel free to reach out. I am always open to collaboration and value building strong referral relationships within the East Bay community.
