The transition from graduate student to practicing therapist can be exciting and sometimes overwhelming. Questions such as “Am I doing this right?” and how to make a diagnosis, conceptualize a case, or make the most of supervision are all part of the learning process.
Join us for an engaging, practical conversation designed to help pre-licensed therapists build confidence and strengthen their clinical skills. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience as both a clinical psychologist and educator, Dr. Ross will focus on 3 areas that are central to developing your professional identity:
Managing Imposter Syndrome
Understand and manage the self-doubt that can accompany becoming a new clinician, while developing clinical competence.
Case Conceptualization & Diagnosis
Build a practical framework for organizing clinical information, understanding clients, and arriving at thoughtful diagnostic and treatment decisions.
Making the Most of Clinical Supervision
Learn how to use supervision effectively, ask the questions that matter, and bring your clinical concerns and challenges into the conversation.
This workshop will be interactive and discussion oriented, with an emphasis on practical strategies you can apply to your clinical work. Bring your questions!
